Winter Tour Standings

Note:  The point standings presented here are UNOFFICIAL.  Check with the PRCA.  Unlike us—they never are wrong.

Points are only awarded in the average: 12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1.  Any person who has 2001 NFR aspirations who has turned out in a short go at a Tour stop (no points) REALLY screwed up.  Even though they may think they have the finale made—if there aren’t enough qualified rides in the first two finale go rounds they revert to the point standings coming in to see who advances to the top 8 Semi Finals.

The Pay-0ff:

Whoever structured this must’ve had professional basketball players for parents and they dribbled their kids for entertainment.   This again points to a problem Ranch Headquarters has had for thirty years or so.  What makes absolutely perfect sense to THEM makes absolutely NO SENSE to any one else.  They’ve got to be from a different planet.  Aliens.   Just have to be.   No one from THIS planet coulda come up with this.  Where are Mulder and Scully (X Files)?   Maybe just ask for Scully… think Mulder quit.

Think that totals up to $58,750.01…  might be wrong … I have a dull pencil and a brain to match.

Guess it made no sense to make it simple for the contestants, fans, and media… by making the two go rounds, two head average, and Semi’s each pay $4,000-$3,000-$2,000-$1,000.   That totals up to be $40,000.

That would leave $18,750.01.   Okay—they wanted first in the top 4 Finals to pay $10,000.   Now we have $8,750.01 left.  So… let’s have second pay $5,000… third could pay $2,500… and 4^th could pay $1,250.   They can keep the extra penny.  

Points won’t be awarded on ground money.  Say no one rides in the top 8.  They all get an equal ground split but no points.  If one guy rides he gets the first place money and points and the other seven split the rest of the money but don’t get any points.  Seems to me there is a good possibility for some guys to leave with some pretty good checks but very few points.
