| Bull Rankings & Herd Rankings |
| Probullstats - Aug 1, 2003 |
I'll be compiling the Top 100 bulls
and updating the herd rankings
after each large batch of rodeos that goes in. That means you should
see some changes in the Top 100 bulls each week, and sometimes twice
a week.
If you don't see your bull in the top 100, it could be that he
doesn't have 5 marked outs in the system yet. Outs with the comment
"no mark" don't count. The bull has to have actually been
mounted and marked 5 or more times - regardless of time ridden.
As soon as a bull achieves the 5 outs, he's automatically considered
for the Top 100 and will be picked up on the next compile if his
average marking is high enough.
The system uses tiebreakers to determine a bulls ranking. The first
tiebreaker is the number of marked outs. A bull with a 22.1 average
over 10 outs will rank higher than one with 22.1 over 5 outs. The
second tiebreaker is buckoff percentage. The higher buckoff percentage
will rank higher.
All this criteria may change before WNFR stock selection time,
so take it with a grain of salt - but it seems to be doing a good
job as of now.
