| Probullstats - Jan. 14, 2003 |
Once again, here we are staring right at the fat middle of the
first month of a brand new year. For most rodeo folks, that means
vacation time is OVER. Hope you had a nice 3 weeks rest and are
ready to burn up 3 more sets of tires before NFR 2003 in December.
Wait a minute, you might be able to make it on 2 sets this year...
Ranch Headquarters (formerly known as the PRCA, henceforth to be
officially referred to as "Prorodeo", "Ranch HQ",
or "Those &%*#'s that still owe me $12") has a lot
of changes in the books for this year. Most notable is the bull
riding tour deal, of which there has been NO mention at RHQ's
Official web site. The 75 rodeo rule will no doubt profoundly
affect your entering strategy, as will the need to make the Tour
rodeos -- if you are gunning for the NFR.
We've made some changes for this season as well, and here's a rundown
of the new and improved Probullstats.com:
For 2003, you'll be able to access records from each and every
rodeo we process, even if we only got partial results from that
rodeo. We've revamped our database to allow for the viewing of each
rodeo individually, and you can find the perpetually updated index
of Oct, 2002-to-present processed rodeos on our new
rodeo page.
We'll also have the data from 2002 available until about mid season
in the 2002 version
of the Bull Finder, and we've updated the regular Bull
Finder
We've installed a new and improved forums,
and also feature a simple read-only
version of these forums.
In 2002, we processed more rodeos than ever, and we hope to be
able to top that in 2003. We're going to try to keep up our previous
pace with the bull notes articles as well, and we'll certainly try
to keep you up to date with the latest news on the bull riding tour
as it becomes available.
We'd like to thank those of you who donated your time or money
to help us last year, and our advertisers, as both were a tremendous
help with the task of keeping this site going. We were able to do
much more than just "keep it going", we made it grow -
thanks to you.
If anyone notices a part of the site that doesn't seem to be working
correctly, or if I can help you in some other way, please let
me know. I noticed that I had 140 unopened e-mails as of yesterday,
so be patient with me if you are already looking for a reply from
me on something.
