Judges Order:           Overstreet       Knowles                 Davis         Horton

Tyler Fowler          50  Hammer Time                Bad Company

Turned back into his hand and stayed.  Really kicked in it.  Good ride.

Lee Akin         273   Gold Coast Gambler                Growney/Kish

Wild little bull went both ways.  Had ground trouble right at the end which made him harder to ride.

Cory Check          +2   Smokin Joe              Bailey

This big boy went quite aways before he found a spot but he was bucking all the way. Bucked the Cruiser off right at the whistle but he made the watch.

Cody Hancock         542   Free Loader            Growney/Kish

Bull had a good day into Cody’s hand.  Lots of pressure on Hancock after Philip made the whistle.

Kagan Sirett             601   El Smacko                    Big Bend

Bull went into his hand.  Good ride.  Bull kinda quit him at the end.

Gregory Potter        P57   Wanna Dance?             Diamond G (The Gilberts)

One juicy round then was too nice.   Helped him in the average.

Philip Elkins            152  Undertaker               Andrews

Big bull turned back into his hand…. He even spurred him a little but it wasn’t like Capital Punishment or anything.  Guess Sammy did sell theTAKER for something like $6,750.

Fred Boettcher          141  Sand Man            Andrews

Just scattered. Fred was ready to ride… I was figuring 92-93 when I first saw the draw.   Dang it.

Jesse Bail          4   Grey Cat                  Bailey

Wow…. this bull really got to getting it.  Some guys thought Jesse bucked off because he started spurrin him.  Looked to me like the bull was pulling him down.  Had to let go with his outside foot.  Worked until he blew his inside one.   Good watching… he'da been 94-96.

Rob Bell     -10  Barracuda          Broken Arrow/ThomasTaylor

This is a good bull.   He really tried to buck Bell off.   Rob was making an outstanding ride and lost his rope a millisecond before the bull fell with him.   I thought he’d made it or if he hadn’t he’d get a reride but one judge saw that he lost the tail of his rope and stopped the watch—just as the bull fell.   Judges didn’t like this bull as much as I did.

Danell Tipton        514  Real Deal             Growney/Kish

17,000 people in Thomas and Mack and a million or so in TV land got to see what this little guy can do.    This bull was making a zillion rounds and Danell was thumping every round. Best watching I’ve seen in a long time.  He would have to have been 96-98.

Ended in a wreck… pretty scary looking deal—nearly out cold and the bull stuck a horn under his head and flipped him away.   Took about ten minutes but by the time they started to carry him out… he was wanting to walk out.   Five minutes after that they said he was up and walking.  Cut chin.   You gotta know that GOD was looking after him… laying face up… bull bucking over the top of him.

Robey Condra        1  Rowdy Rickey          4L  (Lowry)

Black bull tricked Robey.  First time out of the same chute he was to the right (had a left handed rider).   This time—same chute—right handed rider—went to the left.  Hard to make the corner on this bull.   Very smart.    Probably an Auburn graduate.

Dan Wolfe            2   Captain Hook        Thomas Taylor

Pretty exciting but Dan didn’t quite make it.  Little bull really bucks—there’s just not much to get hold of.

Shane Drury            P73  Limited Edition           Big Stone

Don’t know why but the big guys draw the little bulls and vice versa.  This MOOSE jerked Shane down and he tagged him… ended up clicking his heels.  Seeing what the judges marked the bull — it woulda been the go round unless Danell made the eight.

Josh O’Byrne             610  High Voltage        Beutler/Gaylord

Wild little brindle had a little ground problems then skinned um into Josh’s hand… but then he flattened out.  Good effort but the bull never helped him to quite catch up. If he’da kicked just one time Josh woulda made it.
