Throughout its history Louisiana has been held up by residents of other states as an example of democracy gone horribly wrong, and our accusers do have a case. Now you would think that this would make folks from Louisiana hang their heads in shame in light of our history of being seen as a state full of backwards rubes, but it doesn't. People in Louisiana rationalize that... it could be worse... we could be Oklahoma
