A little over a year ago, I reported on how rough things were here after Hurricane Katrina. Today, most people around here are on cloud nine after our Saints returned to the newly rebuilt Superdome and WHOOPED the dirty birds but good last night on Monday Night Football. Its really hard to explain how much that means to people around here.

Professional Bull Riders Welcome New IT Staff Member
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (August 17, 2006) - The Professional Bull Riders (PBR) is excited to announce an exciting new addition to its Information Technology Department. Slade Long, the statistics expert who has operated www.probullstats.com since February of 1999, has agreed to take a full time position with the PBR.
Long has built and contributed to a number of other sites and corporate intranets, participating in various data compilation and management projects for companies as far away as Indonesia.
He will be working on website development, maintenance and support in several key areas, including a PBR Auction House and third party auction house projects. Long will also focus continued attention on bull data collection, working closely with PBR Livestock Superintendent and Vice President Cody Lambert on bull statistics in the process.
"I've always been interested in doing what I can to help the sport of bull riding, because it meant so much to me when I was a contestant. The PBR has been at the forefront of every good thing that's come along in the sport, and I'm happy to be part of it," stated Long.
Long, 40, resides in Covington, La., with his wife Carolyn, son Jake, and stepson, Owen. While Long enjoys reading, writing, programming, hunting and fishing, he said that most of his time is spent chasing kid's activities and rebuilding efforts in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
