Freedom, OK
PRCA: PRCA Rodeo
Aug 16, 2012
Notes:
Oklahoma Geography Lesson:
How to tell what part of Oklahoma a town is in by looking at bull riding stats and using common sense. Take this rodeo for example, and lets look at the info and see if we can learn something.
Clues:
1: Just one contractor
2: We've heard of this contractor before
3: Most of the bulls here have been somewhere before, and had the same names and brands at those other places
4: The sheets from their previous outs list this same contractor as owner.
Now that's enough evidence to tell us that the town of Freedom cannot be in eastern Oklahoma, and certainly not east of Tulsa.
Based on my limited knowledge of Oklahoma, I can't imagine anyone naming a town in SW Oklahoma "Freedom" based on the fact that SW OK was probably Comanche territory when the town was probably founded, so it's safe to assume that Freedom, OK is located somewhere in NW Oklahoma probably within eyesight of Kansas.
