Notes:
Lots of people have heard of the Bermuda Triangle, which is a geographical area where for some reason a good many ships and airplanes go missing, but I bet many of you didn't know we have a weird geographical area right here in the Continental US. I call it the Tahlequah Triangle - because Tahlequah, OK is right up in the thick of it... and it sounds kind of catchy that way too.

If you get out a map, and draw a line from Topeka, KS down to Ardmore, OK and from there to Cape Girardeau, MO - and then back to Topeka, you have a fairly sizeable triangle shaped chunk of redneck country known as the Tahlequah Triangle.

Here's what's weird about it: I've processed and stored the data from a very large number of bull riding sheets. Most of them are fairly easy to do and can be processed pretty quickly. Some aren't so easy, and some are a real pain in the butt. New bulls, never before seen, and probably never to be seen again... Bulls that old so and so bought from old whatsisname and then changed the name on them and maybe the brand, and then turned it in wrong on the stock list, Bulls that disappear about as quickly as they appear... etc... just makes it take twice as long to process. Of all the sheets that I have done that are in the pain in the butt category, about 99.7% of them are from events that took place within the aforementioned geographical area - INCLUDING the one you are looking at right now.

Why? Beats me, but I there are three things I've learned that I always tell folks who call about mistakes or omissions in the database... One, events that are a pain in the butt to process usually don't get processed as quickly. Two: if you want to know whether I think the event you are wondering about will be a pain in the butt to process, then you just need to figure out if it was held anywhere near Tahlequah. Three: Mudslinger, LYJ, Dr. Proctor and all the top shelf bulls have one thing in common - they never get onto the sheets under another name or brand. Ever. Even if they live in Tahlequah.

I wonder if it's got anything to do with Bigfoot?
